I am on month-to-month right now. I would like to give my 30 day notice today, expecting to be done with my current apartment 30 days from now. I called the office and they said any notice would not go into affect until the 1st of the next month effectively making me pay all the way to end of February. Is that really how things work or am I being taken for a ride?
